Mainly, due to the fact that what ever picaso-esque imagery comes to mind you never can tell how deliberate it was. This painting sorta has this victorian/cubist sensibility but i don't really want to comment too much on that since i obviously don't want to project what isn't there. It seems like there's a story being told and clues being dropped in an obscure fashion but im not entirely sure how im supposed to relate to it. Afterall im just a dumb audience member. There is the philosophy that you can get what ever you want out of viewing a particular given piece of work but this painting implies (to me at least) something that is being told- so my brain immediately shifts into trying to comprehend the image.
